Most venues sell you a few hours. You get the room at 4, the music stops at 10, and the people who traveled for you spend the night in a hotel down the road.
Retreat House NY is a private estate, not an event hall. For your weekend, the whole property is yours. Four buildings, room for 22 to stay on site, an indoor pool, a game house, a chef's kitchen, nature trails, a fire pit and a barnyard. No wedding before yours, none after.
Your closest people arrive Friday and leave Sunday. Everyone wakes up where the wedding is.
Arrival, rehearsal, dinner by the fire, late night in the Game House.
